Michelle J. Cunningham is a graduate of Ursinus College and the Villanova University School of Law, receiving her Juris Doctorate degree in 2008. During law school, she competed as a member of the National Trial Team and also served as an editor for the Villanova Environmental Law Journal. After graduating from law school, Michelle gained several years of extensive litigation experience through her role as an Assistant District Attorney in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. Michelle acquired extensive first-chair litigation experience in the pre-trial, juvenile, and trial team units where she tried to verdict dozens of jury and non-jury trials. Michelle worked closely with law enforcement and crime victims to investigate, prepare and litigate a variety of criminal cases including DUI, robbery, burglary, drug trafficking, and homicide. Before joining Marcus & Hoffman in 2016, Michelle expanded her litigation experience by representing mortgage lenders and servicers at a high-volume foreclosure firm in Philadelphia. She handled contested foreclosure and ejectment proceedings throughout Pennsylvania and independently handled numerous non-jury trials. Michelle is admitted to the Bar of the Supreme Courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey and to the United States District Court for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Pennsylvania.
Michelle practices in all areas of Community Association representation with an emphasis on litigated matters. Michelle’s practice also includes providing advice to Associations regarding alternatives to litigation, such as mediation and settlement. |
